Install Site Designer
This guide walks you through downloading and installing Site Designer on Windows and macOS, and covers how to activate your license.
System requirements
Before you install, confirm your computer meets the minimum requirements:

Install on Windows

Download the installer
Go to coffeecup.com/site-designer and click Free Trial or sign in to your account to download the full installer (
.exe). -
Run the installer
Double-click the downloaded
.exefile. If Windows shows a User Account Control prompt, click Yes to allow the installation. -
Follow the setup wizard
Accept the license agreement, choose an installation folder (the default
C:\Program Files\CoffeeCup Software\Site Designeris recommended), and click Install. -
Launch Site Designer
Once installation completes, click Finish to launch Site Designer, or find it in your Start menu.
Install on macOS

Download the disk image
Go to coffeecup.com/site-designer and download the macOS installer (
.dmg). -
Open the disk image
Double-click the
.dmgfile. A window appears showing the Site Designer icon and your Applications folder. -
Drag to Applications
Drag the Site Designer icon into the Applications folder shortcut. macOS copies the app to
/Applications. -
Open for the first time
Open Site Designer from your Applications folder or Launchpad. The first time you open it, macOS may ask you to confirm. Click Open.
Activate your license
If you purchased Site Designer, you’ll need to enter your license key on first launch:

Open Site Designer
Launch the app. The license activation dialog appears automatically if no license is detected.

Enter your license key
Paste or type your license key into the field. Your key was emailed to you at purchase and is also available in your CoffeeCup account dashboard.

Click Activate
Click Activate. Site Designer verifies the key online and unlocks all features.
Update Site Designer
Site Designer checks for updates automatically. When an update is available:
- A notification badge appears on the app icon.
- Go to Help → Check for Updates to see what’s new.
- Click Download & Install to update in place — your projects are not affected.
